The AUSA Family Readiness Directorate is proud to host several Military Family Forums throughout the Annual Meeting. These Forums provide a venue for military and civilian leadership to address Army family issues and to introduce new organizations, initiatives, and programs. In addition, the AUSA Family Pavilion, held in the EXPO arena, will feature organizations that support and educate military families on a variety of topics. 2015 AUSA Annual Meeting Forums

AUSA Military Family Forum I
Monday, 12 October
1400-1600
“A Town Hall with Senior Army Leaders”
Forum I will feature the Secretary of the Army, the Chief of Staff of the Army, and the Sergeant Major of the Army. A panel with distinguished Army spouses will also be presented.

AUSA Military Family Forum II
Tuesday, 13 October
0900-1100
“The Healthy Home Part 1 – Healthy Base Initiative”
Forum II will highlight the pillars of the HBI; improved nutritional choices, increased physical activity, obesity reduction and decreased tobacco use. This forum will feature panelists and presentations updating the audience on the various Army family programs which support Army families through successful navigation of their military family experience.

AUSA Military Family Forum III
Tuesday, 13 October

“The Healthy Home Part 2 – Resilient Families”
Forum III will focus on the mental health of Army families and effective initiatives aimed at building resilience.

AUSA Military Family Forum IV
Wednesday 14 October

“Soldier and Family Readiness – A System of Support”
Forum IV will showcase real solutions designed to fit the needs of Army Families from all components in keeping families resilient and Total Army Strong.

AUSA Military Family Forum V
Wednesday, 14 October

“Transitioning to Veteran or Retiree Status – What Spouses Need to Know”
NEW! Forum V is designed to provide information to Army spouses on what they can expect when their soldier transitions to veteran or retiree status. Panelists will consist of representatives from the Army Soldier for Life Retirement Services Program, the, Hiring Our Heroes Military Spouse Program, the Department of Labor, the Army Career Counselor Branch, and Team Red, White and Blue.
